WHO WE ARE:

Alan Whitehead founded the Solstice Run event in 2003 and created Solstice Group Inc. as a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our event has formed a partnership with Foresters as our presenting sponsor and sponsor of the Kids Fun Run, Target is the sponsor of our new 10 Mile event, and the Karmanos Cancer Institute is sponsoring a fundraiser in the 5K Run/Walk.

We are donating net proceeds from this event to benefit local charitable and non-profit organizations like the Karmanos Cancer Institute, Northville Parks & Rec Dept., Kids against Hunger and Athletes with Disabilities Network.

GOALS OF OUR ORGANIZATION: 

  • Establish a new athletic tradition and festive community event promoting fitness held in both downtown Northville & Northville Twp
  • Recognized as a "world class" race with a top entertainment venue becoming a "Top 10 Road Race in Michigan" and family attraction in conjunction with the Arts & Acts event in Northville, MI
  • Event net proceeds donated to local non-profit & charitable organizations
  • Event attended by wide range of participants of all fitness levels and spectators from surrounding Metro-Detroit area communities

    ONLINE REGISTRATION     AT ACTIVE.COM CLOSES ON THUR, JUNE 24th AT 9:00 AM

  • 2011 Race Date is June 25th
  • Volunteers - please check-in on June 25th & 26th at the Northville Square Mall
  • Early Packet Pickup & Registration is Friday, June 25th, 11:00 am - 7:00 p.m. & Race Day morning at 6:30 am held @ the Northville Square (586-604-8657) located on 133 W. Main St. near Center St. in downtown Northville
  • 10 Mile - all finishers receive Classic Medals
  • Age group awards in the 10K & 5K Run events only
  • Enjoy the weekend's new "Arts & Acts" in Northville
  • Parking at Northville Downs
  • Start-Line for 10 Mile, 10K, 5K & 1 Mile  at Northville Downs - located one block south of Northville Square Mall
  • ANNOUNCEMENT: The 10 Mile, 10K Run and 5K Run events are limited to the first 3,000 registrations; cool Tech-Shirts guaranteed for all registered before 6/23/10
