WHO WE ARE:
Alan Whitehead founded the Solstice Run event in 2003 and created Solstice Group Inc. as a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our event has formed a partnership with Foresters as our presenting sponsor and sponsor of the Kids Fun Run. The Karmanos Cancer Institute is sponsoring a fundraiser in the 5K Run/Walk.
We are donating net proceeds from this event to benefit local charitable and non-profit organizations like the Karmanos Cancer Institute and Northville Parks & Rec Dept.
GOALS OF OUR ORGANIZATION:
- Establish a new athletic tradition and festive community event promoting fitness held in both downtown Northville & Northville Twp
- Recognized as a "world class" race with a top entertainment venue becoming a "Top 10" run & walk event and family attraction in Michigan
- Event's net proceeds donated to local non-profit and charitable organizations
- Event attended by wide range of participants of all fitness levels and spectators from surrounding Metro-Detroit area communities
